Sourcing and Quality Control
We secure high-performance e-bike components through a vetted, trusted supplier network.
Supplier selection, evaluation and component sourcing
We carefully select and evaluate suppliers based on their track record, quality control processes, and other factors. We work with our network of suppliers to source the best and latest components for your needs, including batteries, motors, controllers, displays, sensors, frames and more. Thanks to our experience and end-market data feedback we know what technology is mature and reliable.
Quality control inspections
FUTUREMOTION conducts comprehensive inspections on e-bikes and components to ensure safety, reliability, and full specification compliance. Our quality control covers visual checks, functional testing, component, frame, fork, and CKD inspections, verifying quantities, specifications, and secure packaging prior to shipment.
Inspections are fully customizable based on component type and risk level. Sampling plans and AQL are jointly defined in accordance with ISO 2859-1, with electronic and functional testing integrated into the QC process as required.
A trusted partner ensuring component quality, compliance, and manufacturing confidence.
Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI)
Pre-Shipment Inspection enables early detection and correction of defects immediately after production, ensuring you do not pay for non-conforming e-bikes or components. Once your order is completed—and before final payment—FUTUREMOTION schedules an on-site inspection at the factory, without impacting delivery timelines.
Based on product type, defined sampling size, and AQL levels, inspections are conducted as follows:
- Test ride (100% for ebike)
- Quantity and packaging check
- Optical inspection (Visual defect & abnormalities)
- Technical check (BOM & drawing)
- Alignment Check (Frame & fork inspections)
- Functionnal test (FCT, battery charge/discharge cycle test)
- Specific electronic component test (burn-in, AOI)
Any identified defects are recorded and assessed against the Minimum Quality Cap (MQC). Based on the inspection results, FUTUREMOTION determines whether the purchase order passes or fails in accordance with predefined criteria. A detailed inspection report is delivered within two working days.
Inline Inspection (II)
FUTUREMOTION Inline Inspection allows you to monitor your ebikes or ebike component being produce during all steps of the manufacturing process. Usually combined with the Pre-Shipment Standard Inspection (PSI), the Inline Inspection is useful for clients who require more hands-on quality control, and start on the first day of production with our engineer present on site.
Our Inline Inspection include:
- Raw material conformity with BOM
- Compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality Control Plan (QCP)
- Review and optimization of factory control system
- Tracking of defects and reworks
- Overall monitoring of production defects
Inspecting your components during manufacturing stage offers several advantages:
- Improved and optimized production stages
- Identification and correction of deviation and quality problems
- Know the quality of your product during the manufacturing
- Reduction in cost: preventing any recalls and damage of your brand awareness by replacement of faulty components prior to shipment
- Overall monitoring of production defects
Factory audit
Our Factory Audit focus on the inspection on site of the integrated or non-integrated production plan of your supplier, the office and management, and the quality of the raw materials. FUTUREMOTION will provide you a full report to help you choose a supplier that suit your need the best. Factory Audit can make you learn about your supplier’s:
- Product quality
- Reliability, and compliance with various technology
- Safety, and environmental standards
- Quality management systems (QMS) implementation and health
- Factory structure and manufacturing processes
- Product technology review
